Who We Are

Mission

Our mission is to save the calves and keep them alive. We raise them with great care into adulthood in
order for them to be milk-producing as well.

More About Our Mission

About Us

In 2007, we purchased a five-acre property in Kerala, India, that is surrounded by backwater and blessed with lotus flowers and water lilies. With this coconut lagoon in God’s own country, we decided to purchase our own cow farm. Villagers come every day to purchase farm-fresh milk and enjoy the morning. We are currently in the process of securing additional land in Santa Cruz County, California, to continue protecting and saving the cows and their calves.

Save the Cows, Donate Now

“I’m so happy to donate to Calf Life because they are saving these precious cows!”

Donate To Save the Cows

The Issue

Calves (baby cows) are being killed in large numbers around the world. In our fast-growing economy, baby cows are considered an expensive liability.

After they are born, big farms separate the baby cows from their valuable, milk-producing moms. Unfortunately, the babies are abandoned and left to die or killed.

What We Do

We rescue calves that are abandoned and left to die.

We take them to our farm in Kerala and nurture them into adulthood, making sure they grow into healthy, strong milk-producing cows.

How to Help

Your donation helps to feed the cows and pay for the costs to maintain the farm.

These sentient cows deserve to be treated with respect and love, and your donation helps to make that possible.

Reflections

“In Hindu tradition, one cow farm is said to be equal to nine temples —

for where cows are honored, the land is sanctified.”

“The true measure of a culture and its tradition can be seen in how it treats its animals. Compassion toward all beings is the foundation of dharma.”

“To care for cows is to care for the Earth. Their presence blesses the soil, the air, and the hearts of those who protect them.”

“In Hindu tradition, the cow is seen as a second mother — Gau Mata — who nourishes humanity with the same selfless love as the mother who gives birth.”
